Over the years, we've made so many talented friends with all types of artistic backgrounds. We always love to collaborate and since the beginning of CWC, we've talked about this idea of the 'Cold Weather Collective' as an opportunity to find ways to showcase those collaborations and focus on other artists who we feel deserve more attention.
We created a Facebook group where anyone can share what they're working on, or listening to, as well as a place to have conversations or ask anything you'd like to know about CWC.
We also have a great #cwcollective channel within our Discord, filled with supportive members and work from these very artists.
We'll post some more behind-the-scenes content here and there and also ask for suggestions of what you'd like to see more of. Over time we'll be rolling out special Cold Weather Collective projects, so stay tuned!
One rainy night last year, I shared a piano improvisation on Instagram. The response to the video motivated me to release the song to Spotify, which then motivated me to ask listeners to send in videos of rainfall wherever they were. Now, thanks to your beautiful submissions (from over 30 cities worldwide!), as well as editing by my good friend Étienne Labbouz, I’m able to share the result! I really appreciate the support of everyone who listened to “Rainfall” when it was released, and to those who submitted videos for this project—I certainly did not expect a song I recorded to test my camera before a live-stream to lead to such a special collaboration. - Steve
